The Farmers Arms pub is everyone’s local.

The Farmers Arms is a genuine, traditional pub, located in the heart of Poynton that has been the centre of the village for a long as anyone can remember.  The pub has grown over the years from a single room to what it is today but it remains a very English local.

Perhaps it’s because of what it is that there is such a great mix of people, from all walks of life, and of all ages here.  But, it’s not the mix of customers, it’s the way our  customers mix that makes The Farmers Arms special.  The management and staff are also regular patrons- we like it here, and we’re sure you will too!

We serve hand pulled Robinson’s ales, draught Guinness, and a range of draught and bottled lagers and ciders plus a good wine and spirit selection.  Our food is made to order from fresh ingredients, supplied from local businesses.  So definitely no mass-produced, reheated rubbish here, just honest good pub grub!

There is something for everyone here; its cosy corners by the fireplace offer comfort and privacy, with the upper room offering a more open seating area.  The large angled bar provides opportunities to socialise and get to know people.  And if you are a smoker; with an awning to keep you dry and halogen heaters to keep away even the worst winter chills, you won’t feel like an outcast on our balcony.

As if that weren’t enough to keep our customers amused, while you are here you can watch live sports from Sky and Setanta, relax with the days newspapers and a variety of local magazines in our "leather lounge", or take part in our great fun quiz nights.  If you want to join a team just ask at the bar and we’ll introduce you.  We host live music sessions from up and coming local bands as well as our established live acts.  Check the boards inside for details we look forward to welcoming you as a regular.
